The program offers exciting opportunities for exceptional young students to advance their academic pursuit through mentoring and peer networking. Some of the components of the PSYP Fellowship are outlined below:
A contact program to run for 6 weeks, aimed at developing fellows’ interest in sustainability and entrepreneurship. It covers several topics including starting a business, Developing an entrepreneurial mind and, Financial management.
Each cohort of the Pistis Young Scholars’ program has a dedicated mentor who is an accomplished person. The mentor’s role is to provide guidance and mentorship to Fellows while challenging them into becoming the leaders we envisage them to be.
Each year’s cohort will be given tasks to provide innovative solutions to challenges around sustainability and the Global SDG goals. Fellows will be exposed to design thinking methodologies which they will be expected to deploy in providing answers to some of these national and global problems.
At the completion of their fellowship session, Fellows will become alumni of the Program, and join another community (The PYSP Alumni Network) that will be a source for other lifelong opportunities for growth and personal development.
Fellows will have access to funding to pursue capstone innovations aimed at proffering solutions to identified public-oriented problems in their communities.
The program will actively encourage a reading culture among Fellows. The PYSP Book Club will therefore require fellows to be committed to a culture of reading, studying and research work.
It is our mission to provide a supportive environment for young scholars to explore, innovate and create a better future.
